Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2026

RxDecoder ("we", "us") is a health-literacy tool that helps you understand medical documents and compare generic medicine prices. Your privacy matters — especially with health data.

What we collect

  • Account info: email and (optionally) name, age, allergies, conditions you choose to add to your profile.
  • Decoded reports: the text or image of prescriptions you submit, and our AI-generated plain-English version.
  • Usage data: basic analytics (page visits, feature use). No third-party advertising trackers.

How we use it

  • To run the decoder, generic finder, and your personal history.
  • To improve the catalog (auto-added medicines are reviewed by our editors before going public).
  • To send service notifications (you can opt out of non-essential email).

Who we share with

We use an AI provider (Google Gemini via Lovable AI Gateway) to process the text of your reports. Submissions are not used to train external models. We never sell your data. We do not share with insurers, employers, or advertisers.

Your rights

  • You can delete any saved report from your dashboard at any time.
  • You can request full deletion of your account by emailing privacy@rxdecoder.app.
  • You can export your data on request.

Security

Data is stored in encrypted Postgres (Lovable Cloud / Supabase) with row-level security. Only you (and our admins, for support) can read your records.
